Samsung Blu-ray Player won’t play Blu ray disc? Why?

Samsung Blu-ray Player is a good assistant to play Blu ray disc, but more and more users complain that they can’t play Blu ray disc on Samsung Blu-ray Player, or meet many other troubles. There are many reasons can cause this trouble, some are related to Samsung Blu-ray Player, some are related to the Blu-ray disc, some are related to the firmware and so on. From the constant test and verify, following provides you some solutions to solve Samsung Blu-ray Player won’t play Blu ray disc issue, there are no guarantees, but you can have a try.

Solutions to Solve Samsung Blu-ray Player won’t play Blu ray disc Issue

Part 1. Check Samsung Blu-ray Player

Some issues are not as difficult as we image, sometimes, we just need to do little simple steps, because there are many details can be ignored, just simple check and test, you can solve this issue., for example:

Step 1. Everyone will do this omnipotent step: Turn Blu-ray player off, then turn it on, if you still can’t play Blu-ray disc on it, move to step 2.

Step 3. External connection is really important, check all physical connections between your Blu-ray player, TV and power supply for making sure that cables are properly connected and there is power on all of the devices.

Part 2. Check Blu-ray Firmware

Above steps are all not work, next, you need to pay attention to the Blu-ray Firmware, because the Blu-ray is a dynamic format. It’s essentially software (menus, etc. use a type of Java) so it requires up-to-date firmware to keep up-to-date with the latest blu-ray technology. There are many conditions will affect the Blu-ray firmware unstable or needed to update.

*Every once in a while, just like when you update a program and something stops working right, there will be a bad software update.

*Power off during update, or the update was otherwise interrupted while being applied it could do this.

You need to check to make sure if the latest firmware is installed on your Blu-ray player. If an older firmware is still running on your Blu-ray device then the it may not be able to detect contents with latest media formats and codecs. Then you need to see if there’s an available update and update it. If not, contact Samsung serve support and get the new firmware for updating.

Part 3. Check Blu-ray disc

Samsung Blu-ray Player is good, the firmware is new, next work is to check the Blu-ray disc, it’s not a easy work, just look the Blu-ray disc is damaged or not. If the Blu-ray disc is damaged, at the first, you will find the phenomenon, below is the more complicated analysis.

Step 1. Basic cross validation: which can check the issue is relate to Blu-ray disc or not: Try using a different disc and play on Samsung Blu-ray Player

Step 2. The Samsung Blu-ray Player can’t play the good Blu-ray disc, you need to check the Check the Blu-ray region code on the disc. All Samsung Blu-Ray Players purchased in Australia are region locked to Australia and can’t be unlocked. Only Region B Blu-Ray Discs and Region 4 DVDs are compatible.

Then you can enter the Format list, the button is at the bottom of interface, here, what can you do? You can copy the Blu-ray to another blank disc which is not protected by the complicated Blu-ray protection, you just need to choose 'Directly Copy', you may find the 'Directly Copy 3D Bluray', you can take the chance to convert 2D Blu-ray to 3D Blu-ray for Samsung TV, so cool.
